Preflight: Elite Bicyles to sponsor Mountain Bike

Elite Bicycles [directory] in Citrus Heights, will sponsor Mixer's trip by donating a mountain bike for use by Mixer's trip companion. Elite Bicycles is owned by Eric Dyer, and can be reached by phone at 916-728-2812. They are located 7032 Sylvan Road in Citrus Heights, CA. Mixer is very grateful for their generosity and support.

BLAZE'N FOR THE RAISE'N

On Saturday July 16th, 2005, Claire Mix [about] will make a lone journey to raise funds for a cure to Parkinson Disease. Claire is going to ride a mobility scooter from the Golden Gate Bridge to the California State Capitol, where she will be met by many of her students and friends. It's not only a way to raise funds for The National Parkinson Foundation, but Claire hopes to inspire her students to never give up.

What Can You Do To Help?

This is a fundraiser, so the most important thing you can do to help is to make a donation. Whether large or small, your contribution will help support essential Parkinson research efforts, patient services, education, and outreach. In the United States it is estimated that 60,000 new cases are diagnosed each year, joining the 1.5 million Americans who currently have Parkinson disease. While the condition usually develops after the age of 65, 15% of those diagnosed are under 50.
